NBSV 027 BONUS CONTENT: An unvaccinated child is an at-risk child. Here's why. (Vaccine myths)

Vaccines

If your child has no immune condition that necessitates forgoing vaccines, and you choose to not vaccinate your child, you are putting his/her/their life at risk. It’s as simple as that. And you’re putting the lives of countless others at risk, including infants who are too young to be inoculated.

In a discussion with one of our episode 27 guests, an unvaccinated baby was mentioned. It wasn't the main topic of conversation, and it wasn't the guest's own child, but this topic is too important to ignore.

I put together a short bonus episode addressing some of the most common myths about the risks of vaccination.

Listen below!

Important topics and points you don't want to miss:

>> Having a child who’s unvaccinated and healthy and saying, “Look! He’s fine! And he’s unvaccinated!” is not how this works. I explain why.

>> The single study that found a supposed link between vaccines and autism was completely, 100% made up. The author lost his medical license and the paper was retracted from the journal in which it was published.

>> I share a few of the countless studies (over 20 years' worth) that have all found the same thing: Vaccines do not cause autism.

>> Risks of diseases versus risks of immunizations. Example: 1 in 1,00,000 children who get the MMR vaccine develop encephalitis. 1 in 1,000 children who get measles get encephalitis.

>> Why being a responsible adult is all about risk management, and a personal example from my own life.

>> Vaccine ingredients: know your chemistry. Did you know there's much, much more formaldehyde in a pear than in a flu vaccine?

>> The difference between ethylmercury (thimerosal, which is a flu vaccine ingredient, breaks down into this) and methylmercury (which is a neurotoxin). They are not the same thing.

Resources mentioned in the episode:
